CALL TO ORDER <br /> 9 Mayor Ranallo called the Board of Review to order at 6:00 p.m. . <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Present : Mayor Rana] lo, Councilmembers Enrooth , Harks , Fleming and Wagner <br /> 12 Staff Present : City Manager Burt and Assistant to the City Manager Vander- <br /> 13 Heyden <br /> i4 County Staff Present : Glenn Busitzky, Hennepin County Principal Appraiser <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Those property owners present signed numbered attendance sheets and were <br /> 17 called upon by number. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Mayor Ranallo advised those in attendance of the purpose of the Board <br /> 20 of Review. He noted if the property owner does not agree with the market <br /> 21 value of his/her property, a reappraisal can be requested. Busitzky stated <br /> 22 that appointments for reappraisals will be scheduled for St. Anthony <br /> 23 properties for the last two weeks in June. Property owners can call the <br /> • 24 Hennepin County Assessor ' s office to set up an appointment. Busitzky <br /> 25 also made a list of those properties whose value was being aggrieved as <br /> 26 they were brought before the Board of Review. Appearance at this local <br /> 27 Board of Review is necessary to preserve the right to appear at the next <br /> 28 level , that being , the Hennepin County Board of Equalization . <br /> 29 <br /> 30 A resident inquired if she could have an appraisal done by a private <br /> 31 appraiser. Busitzky responded this could be done and any information <br /> 32 received from this appraisal would be considered by the County Ap- <br /> 33 praiser. <br /> �4 <br /> 35 Mayor Rana] lo cautioned those in attendance that the purpose of the Board <br /> 36 of Review was to discuss market value of property, not taxes . Busitzky <br /> 37 advised that the properties viewed this year were in that quadrant <br /> 38 of the City east of Silver Lake Road and north of 33rd Avenue, although <br /> 39 adjustments are made to all properties in the City each year. He also <br /> 40 noted the_ tax capacity of St . Anthony is at 113%. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 The following are the property owners or their representatives who <br /> 1,3 attended the Board of Review: <br /> 44 <br /> 6r, John Jadinak - 2805 27th Avenue N .E. <br /> 46 This property was viewed in 1990 and its value was decreased from $79,200 <br /> 47 to $74, 100 because of some less than desirable business activities and <br /> 48 traffic in the neighborhood . This year the value increased to $76,100. <br /> 49 Mr. Jadinak noted that nothing had changed in his area and questioned <br /> • 50 the reason for the increase. He requested his property be reviewed . <br />
