A detailed listing of TIF administrative tasks is attached <br /> for background information. <br /> The certification costs reflect the average direct personnel costs incurred per <br /> district to compile and input the necessary tax increment data into the system <br /> and issue the certification document. This is a one-time charge for each new <br /> TIF district and each modification (enlargement) of an existing district. <br /> An annual maintenance cost is also charged for other TIF administrative <br /> functions performed by staff in this department. These costs are derived from <br /> the actual 1990 budget expenditure reports for tax collection functions. <br /> In aggregate maintenance costs totaling $94,402.97 are charged to TIF districts <br /> in the county for 1990. one half of this cost is apportioned equally to each <br /> district or enlarged district ($259.19 each) to reflect fixed costs per <br /> district. The remaining half is apportioned to each district based on the <br /> number of parcels in the district. A per parcel charge of $3.57 is thus <br /> included in 1990 maintenance costs to- reflect variable costs.
