City of St. Anthony Proposed Sign Ordinance Revisions <br /> Draft #2 -- May 27, 1992 Page -13- <br /> 1 1400.11 WALL SIGNS: The sign surface area of a wall sign may not exceed 15% of the <br /> 2 area of the wall to which it is applied.. <br /> 3 1400.12 DISTRICT SCHEDULES: Signs shall be permitted as set forth in the following <br /> 4 provisions: <br /> 5 Subd. 1. RESIDENTIAL: The following signs are permitted in a residential district: <br /> 6 (1) One identification sign per dwelling unit. The sign may npt emee <br /> 7 sign suffaee ar-ea-ef 2 square feet per- sur-faee and may have Be ffier-e <br /> 8 . Additionally one <br /> 9 address sign on the curb in front of each dwelling unit or on a <br /> 10 freestanding mailbox. <br /> 11 (2) Each multiple dwelling complex ( ina rrifis will be allowed <br /> 12 one freestanding sign identifying the complex "*'The sign may not <br /> 13 exceed 50 square feet in sign surface area. The sign structure including <br /> 14 the sign surface area, may not exceed 150 square feet in area. The <br /> 15 highest point of the sign may not be more than 10 feet above ground <br /> 16 level. <br /> 17 (3) Each church located within the corporate limits of this City, subject to <br /> 18 approval of size, location and type by the Manager, may erect and <br /> 19 maintain a maximum of three directional signs on municipal rights-of- <br /> 20 way. No church may erect or maintain more than one such sign at any <br /> 21 intersection. <br /> 22 Subd. 2. COMMERCIAL AND LIMITED BUSINESS: The following signs are <br /> 23 allowed in a "B" Service Office Limited Business District and "C" Commercial <br /> 24 Districts and may be erected after obtaining a permit and paying a required license <br /> 25 fee. <br /> 26 (1) One identification sign per commercial establishment. The sign may <br /> 27 have no more than 2 square feet of surface area per lineal foot of <br /> 28 business footage, up to a maximum of 150 square feet. The total area <br /> 29 of all wall signs affixed to a wall may not exceed 15% of the total area <br /> 30 of the wall. <br /> 31 (2) A gasoline station will be allowed, in addition to all other authorized <br /> 32 signs, one pylon sign to identify the gasoline brand. This sign-may not <br /> 33 exceed 30 feet in height, and must have a minimum clearance of 12 <br /> 34 feet from the basic grade level to the lowest element of the sign <br />
