Park patrol, especially to aid in preventing vandalism to public property, and to <br /> develop a spirit of rapport with park users. <br /> 6. Testifying, as needed, in criminal prosecutions. <br /> 7. Assisting other cities, as needed. <br /> 8. To remain a member in good standing of the Police Reserve, Officer must spend <br /> at least 150 hours per year in Reserve related duties, including training and <br /> membership meetings. Officers are not to spend less than 8 hours in any one <br /> month in Reserve-related duties. Violation of this rule shall be grounds for <br /> disciplinary action under Article VII - Discipline. <br /> Article IX - Ride-Along: <br /> Reserve Officers may ride with regular Police Officers, subject to the following: <br /> 1 . A Ride-Along is strictly up to the discretion of the Chief of Police and the <br /> regular Officer involved. <br /> 2. ReseWists desiFiAg to be a Rid . <br /> 2. Reservists are to be under the direct control and direction of the regular Officer <br /> in the car. <br /> 3 . Reserve Officers are not to drive a regular St. Anthony Police Department <br /> squad car unless authorized by the Officer in charge. <br /> 4. Ride-Alongs are restricted to not less than two hours, nor more than eight <br /> hours in any one day. <br /> Article X - Rules, Regulations, Amendments, and Dissolution: <br /> 1 . The Chief of Police may promulgate ruled and regulations on the operation of <br /> the Reserve Unit within the context of these Bylaws. The.Reserve Unit may <br /> appeal such rules and regulations to the City Manager and City Council if they <br /> deem them to be unreasonable, unfair, or unenforceable by a majority vote of <br /> all Reserve members. <br /> 2. The Bylaws may be amended upon a majority vote of the City Council. <br /> 3. The Reserve Unit may be disbanded by a majority vote of the City Council. <br />
