Joint Powers Agreement <br /> St. Anthony/Lauderdale • <br /> Page 2 <br /> 16 hour police presence at minimum within the boundaries of-Lauderdale; <br /> Animal control services as provided within the City of St. Anthony; <br /> Ordinance enforcement of all Lauderdale ordinances of the same type and <br /> nature as are enforced by the police in St. Anthony, with special attention <br /> given to parking, winter and nuisance ordinances; <br /> Ticketing at a minimum, but not limited to, two (2) hours of ticketing per <br /> month for traffic violations; and <br /> Crime prevention programs that encourage community involvement and <br /> investment in the City. <br /> IV. TERMS AND COSTS OF AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement shall be effective January 1, 1994 and shall continue until <br /> December 31 , 1997. In consideration of the services provided under this <br /> Agreement, Lauderdale shall pay the City of St. Anthony $158,000 in Agreement <br /> year 1994 for police services. That cost shall increase no more than 3% each <br /> Agreement year (1995 and 1996). <br /> V. METHOD OF PAYMENT <br /> St. Anthony agrees to bill Lauderdale on a monthly basis and Lauderdale agrees to <br /> promptly remit payments to St. Anthony. <br /> VI. LIABILITY <br /> St. Anthony shall be responsible for all liability incurred as a result of the.actions of <br /> St. Anthony Police Officers under. this Agreement. St. Anthony agrees to hold <br /> Lauderdale harmless for any liability resulting from actions of a St. Anthony <br /> employee. <br /> VII. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY <br /> The law enforcement services rendered to Lauderdale shall be under the sole <br /> direction of St. Anthony. The degree of services rendered, the standards of <br /> performance, the hiring and discipline of officers assigned, and other matters <br /> relating to regulations and policies shall remain within the control of St. Anthony. <br /> VIII. JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE • <br /> Both cities will appoint members to a joint advisory committee. Membership shall <br /> include at minimum, the Police Chief, Manager/Administrator from each <br />
