Report of Councilmember Wagner <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Councilmember Wagner requested the Council proclaim Friday, <br /> 9 September 24th as "Kiwanis Peanut Day" in the City of St . <br /> 10 Anthony. He is making the request on behalf of the Kiwanis <br /> 11 Club. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Motion by Ranallo, second by Marks to proclaim Friday, <br /> 14 September 24, 1993 as "Kiwanis Peanut Day" in St . Anthony. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Councilmember Wagner advised he filed for re-election for a <br /> 20 four year term on the City Council . <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Councilmember Wagner attended the recent Walker Board of <br /> 23 Directors meeting. He expressed his pleasure with the <br /> 24 operation and the residents . It was noted at the meeting that <br /> 25 there is interest in building another facility which will not <br /> 26 be a HUD building. • <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 2 . Report of Councilmember Fleming <br /> 30 <br /> 31 On September 9th, Councilmember Fleming attended the <br /> 32 School/Community Center//City Hall Task Force meeting. Three <br /> 33 alternatives for future space needs were discussed. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 The Task Force is holding a public hearing on September 21st <br /> 36 at 7: 00 p.m. to discuss the alternatives. The School Board is <br /> 37 expected to make a final decision. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Councilmember Fleming will be attending a Human Rights <br /> 40 Commission Meeting being held in Shoreview and sponsored by <br /> 41 the League of Minnesota Cities . She will report on this <br /> 42 meeting at the next Council Meeting. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 3 . Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Councilmember Marks advised that a resident who is visiting <br /> 48 Salo, Finland will be delivering a letter from the St . Anthony <br /> 49 City Council to the Salo City Council . He will report on any <br /> 50 information he receives back from this resident . <br /> • <br />
