NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A. Resolution 93-066, re: Ordering Advertisement for Bids <br /> 12 for 1994 street improvements. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The City Manager reported during the neighborhood meetings <br /> 15 he spoke to people regarding reconstruction and overlays . <br /> 16 He would like to be able to present bids instead of <br /> 17 estimates to show the exact dollar amount . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion by Wagner and seconded by Marks to approve Resolution <br /> 20 93-066 regarding the ordering of advertising for bids for <br /> 21 the 1994 street improvements . <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Mayor Ranallo opened the public hearing at 7 : 10 p.m. . <br /> 8 <br /> 29 A. Proposed 1994 Tax Levy and 1994 City Budget. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Mayor Ranallo said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss <br /> 32 the City' s portion of the proposed 1994 taxes and not to <br /> 33 discuss the county, school or other taxing jurisdictions . <br /> 34 He said in the Spring of 1994 there will be a meeting to <br /> 35 discuss assessed valuations . The Mayor checked with the <br /> 36 County regarding the telephone calls he received from people <br /> 37 saying they had not received their form in the mail and the <br /> 38 County just did not send them out . The City' s <br /> 39 responsibility is to publish the notice of the hearing in <br /> 40 the St . Anthony Bulletin. The City also published it in the <br /> 41 Star Tribune . In early November each department head <br /> 42 reviewed their budgets in detail with the City Council . <br /> 43 That meeting was also published. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The Mayor said the main concern he heard from residents was <br /> 46 that the notice was published indicating the budget <br /> 47 increased 2 . 8-06 . Some people received statements indicating <br /> 48 a different percentage . <br />
