• City of St. Anthony <br /> Park ad hoe Committee <br /> The St. Anthony City Council established the Park ad hoc Committee to study the parks in <br /> St. Anthony and make recommendations for the design and usage of the parks. <br /> This Committee is to examine the following specific questions: <br /> 1. What should be the overall configuration of Central Park? This is primarily picking <br /> one of the plans presented by the consultant with possible modifications. <br /> 2. What additional features should be implemented beyond those currently in the parks or <br /> not on any of the proposed park plans? This could include paths with benches and <br /> plantings as well as the location of the Performing Arts Center. <br /> 3. What additions or changes should be made to parks other than Central Park? <br /> • 4. What is the schedule at which these recommendations should be implemented? <br /> 5. How should these recommendations be funded? Bonding, General Funds, donations, <br /> user fees, etc. ? <br /> 6. Since Central Park is half school and half city, who and how should the parks be <br /> administered? Should there be a Parks Commission and if so how should it be <br /> structured? <br /> 7. What policies should be put in place to insure that they provide maximum benefit to all <br /> of St. Anthony? These policies would be additions or changes to current city <br /> ordinances. <br /> It is requested that these recommendations be made to the City Council and School Board- <br /> by March 1998. <br /> • George Marks <br /> June 24, 1997 <br />
