CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> ORDINANCE 1997-006 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SIGNS; AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF <br /> THE 1993 ST. ANTHONY CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br /> BY ADDING SUBD.,36 TO SECTION 1400.04; <br /> AND, BY AMENDING SECTION 1400.09, SUBD. 5 <br /> The City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby ordains: <br /> Section 1. Chapter 14, Section 1400.04 of the City Code is amended to add the following: <br /> 1400.04 Definitions. For the purposes of this Chapter, the following terms have the <br /> meanings given them in this Section: <br /> Subd. 36 Professional Building. Any multi-story building of 50,000 square feet or <br /> more occupied by professional service oriented businesses, such as legal, clinical or <br /> health care related retail or service establishments with parking provided on the tract <br /> of land for use in common by patrons and occupants. <br /> Section 2. Chapter 14, Section 1400.09, Subd. 5 of the City Code is amended as follows: <br /> 1400.09 Signs Requiring Permits. <br /> Subd. 5. Shopping Centers/Strip Mall/Professional Building_Comprehensive Sign <br /> Plan. A comprehensive plan must be provided for the whole of a shopping centers <br /> strip mall, or professional building development. This plan includes the location, <br /> size, height, color, lighting and orientation of all signs, and must be submitted for <br /> preliminary plan approval. When a comprehensive plan is presented, exceptions to <br /> the regulations of this Chapter may be permitted if the sign areas and densities for the <br /> plan as a whole are in conformity with the intent of this Chapter and if such exception <br /> results in an improved relationship between the various parts of the plan as <br /> determined by the Council. Comprehensive Sign Plans will be reviewed by the City <br /> Planning Commission which will forward a recommendation to the Council on the <br /> appropriateness of the proposed plan. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance will be in effect as of the date of its publication. <br />
