Resolution 03-086,re: Consider Bid Package for the Fire Station Construction Project(Bid <br /> Package #2). <br /> Jeff Oertel, Oertel Architects,presented four diagrams for the Fire Station. He stated because of <br /> the site location the council originally indicated they wanted an aesthetically beautiful building. <br /> He indicated that the square footage of the building increased and the aesthetics of the building <br /> increased. <br /> Gary Benson, Kraus Anderson, indicated that the budget lost meaning in the design phase. <br /> Joel Hewitt, Fire Chief,presented that the new fire station is approximately 13,800 square feet <br /> with 3 bays, training facilities, and dorm rooms. He indicated that he believed that he bids would <br /> be under budget. <br /> After considerable discussion, Hodson indicated to the"team"the need to go back and re-design <br /> these buildings and bring them back to the Council in budget. Also in this process it is important <br /> to consider the Public Works and Fire Station budgets separately. <br /> After discussion, Faust made a motion to table the resolutions until the October 14`", Council <br /> Meeting. Seconded by Thuesen. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> VI. Other Business. <br /> None. <br /> V.
