City Council Regular Meeting Minutes 10 <br /> May 25, 2004 <br /> Page 10 <br /> 1 Councilmember Faust noted Council had approved a Recycling Agreement with Hennepin <br /> 2 County under the Consent Agenda. He stated statistics indicated 1,929 households had curbside <br /> 3 recycling available; however, an average of only 54% were participating. He explained free-. <br /> 4 containers could be acquired at City Hall, adding further information could be obtained at (612) <br /> 5 789-8881. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Mayor Hodson reported he had participated in an excellent meeting at the Center for <br /> 8 Transportation Studies regarding future driver behaviors as baby boomers began to age. He <br /> 9 indicated some of the discussions related to signage and intelligent transportation devices that <br /> 10 could be incorporated into the roadways of cities. He added conversation also took place. <br /> 11 regarding ways to relieve traffic congestion, identifying sidewalks and road shoulders that <br /> 12 allowed bicycle traffic as one suggestion. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 15 No one came forward to address Council. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br /> 18 None. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 X.
