Council will be informed prior to this taking place. A ribbon cutting or <br /> 3 picture taking ceremony may take place. <br /> 4 g. An update on Phase II will take place in September or October 2004. This could <br /> 5 be divided into two phases. Six property owners are involved. An update will be <br /> 6 presented within sixty days. <br /> 7 h. Documents will be finalized with Fannie Mae in August, regarding the interim <br /> 8 financing for the Developer. <br /> 9 i. Perry Thorvig, of DSU, and Audie Tarpley, of Robert Muir Companies, have <br /> 10 been asked to provide and update on the entire PUD at the September 14, 2004 <br /> 11 Council meeting. The review will be good for the public as well as for Council. <br /> 12 Discussions have taken place with Equinox regarding renovating their existing <br /> 13 garages to compliment the development, as well as with US Bank regarding new <br /> 14 landscaping. Wendy's and Applebee's are about ninety percent complete, with <br /> 15 construction to begin soon. <br /> 16 2. There will be no Council meeting on August 24, 2004. <br /> 17 3. There will be a joint meeting with School Board on August 31, 2004 at 7:00 pm. A <br /> 18 tour of Fire Station will be scheduled for 6:30 p.m. For those interested, meet at the Fire <br /> 19 Station site. <br /> 20 4. There will be an update on Three Rivers Park at the September 14, 2064 Council <br /> 31 meeting. <br /> 32 6. The City will be applied for a Communications Award to the League of Minnesota Cities <br /> 33 for their communication efforts with Public Works and with the Sliver Lake <br /> 34 Redevelopment. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 There was discussion regarding the disposal of the Apache Plaza Sign. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Councilmember Faust asked Mr. Mornson to clarify for the public what it means with regard to <br /> 39 stating the restaurants are"ninety percent" complete. Mr. Morrison responded in clarifying that <br /> 40 the tenant is negotiated between the developer and the property owner, therefore the stage in the <br /> 41 process referred to by the percentage in which the negotiations are complete. He added that in <br /> 42 all cases the developer is the landlord, therefore, is able to manage situations as they arise. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Councilmember Horst inquired as to whether the City could negotiate with the developer to have <br /> 45 the timeframe in which.the old liquor store closes and the new one opens be narrowed.
