Cities involved would be Fridley, who own and have renovated <br /> the vehicle; Columbia Heights; Spring Lake Park; Coon Rapids; and-St. Anthony; <br /> Mr. Childs indicated he agreed with -the Fire Chief that it made sense to share the <br /> costs of having such' a vehicle available for emergencies rather than to have the. City <br /> undertake the expense of equipping such a vehicle and training a crew to operate <br /> it on its own. The Manager agreed to check out the response time between Fridley <br /> and St. Anthony. <br /> No action was required, but the Mayor and Councilmembers concurred that the proposal <br /> was a good one. <br /> CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br /> Ordinance Language Approved for Ordinance Change Hearing in January <br /> With a few minor changes, the Council approved the proposed ordinance amendments <br /> prepared by staff with Planning Commission input in their agenda packet. Ordin- <br /> ance 1986-008 would address parking problems in residential areas and the problems <br /> caused when a large number of unrelated individuals reside in a single residential <br /> unit. <br /> Staff input: will add language to restrict guest parking; <br /> recommended Council direct staff to schedule the required hearing <br /> on the ordinance amendments. <br /> Council action: Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Enrooth to direct staff to schedule <br /> necessary public hearing on proposed amendments to the Zoning <br /> Ordinance relating to parking and persons per unit restrictions. <br /> ORDINANCE 1986-008 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ZONING: AMENDING SECTION 300 <br /> OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Petition for Mid-block Street Light at Silver Lake Court <br /> Applic-ation: seventeen persons on this street had signed the petition for <br /> additional lighting in their neighborhood. <br /> Staff -input: Mr. Childs November l4th memorandum advised a pole for the arclight <br /> exists between 2905 and 2909 Silver Lake Court;. <br /> recommended Council approval . <br /> Council action: Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Makowske to direct Northern <br /> States Power to install an arclight on the existing pole between <br /> 2905 and 2909 Silver Lake Court as requested by the residents on <br /> that street. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
