NOW <br /> $985 . 00 to $1 , 210 . 00 and included $380 . 00 for postage which might be <br /> reduced if the Newsletters were hand delivered by. service groups such as <br /> the Boy Scouts . <br /> Mr. Childs indicated the water billing schedule could probably not be <br /> altered so it .would seem that four extra Newsletters could be issued <br /> yearly if the Council wanted them to go out on a six week basis. <br /> The following were Council reactions : <br /> Makowske -said she was in favor .of the extra Newsletters ; <br /> -suggested the Manager check with Falcon Heights about <br /> their experience with having service groups make the <br /> deliveries and the cost of silk screening print shots for <br /> pictures. <br /> Sundland -agreed if the costs could be gotten down to reasonable <br /> levels this would be good vehicle to use to contact the <br /> residents between water billing mailings ; <br /> suggested the Chamber of Commerce might be interested in <br /> being associated with this project. <br /> Ranallo -said he was very interested in the City getting a- better <br /> method of communicating with its residents because "we <br /> sure aren' t getting it now" ; <br /> -perceived a great number of residents are looking to the <br /> water bill enclosure for news of what' s happening in the <br /> city. <br /> Childs -reminded the Councilmembers that they had agreed to help <br /> write the articles; <br /> -indicated ideas for articles were the most important; <br /> -said the way he understood it now, there would be a mailing <br /> going out April 15th and one every six weeks after. <br /> Presence of Bloomington Councilmember .Acknowledged . <br /> Mayor Sundland not.ed. that Neil Peterson had come in with John Arkell and <br /> welcomed the Bloomington Councilmember to .the meeting: <br /> City Realizes $6 ; 464.32 in 1986 Franchise Payments from Cable TV North <br /> Central <br /> • Mr. Childs had included the February 26th letter from the North Suburban <br /> Cable Commission Administrator illustrating the above in the agenda <br />
