Christofferson' s report about <br /> 4 parts being hard to find by saying the bowl he had recently pur- <br /> 5 chased was no longer being manufactured and the only reason he was <br /> 6 able to get a replacement was that the bowl just happened to be in <br /> 7 " storage. -Mr. Hamer also warned that the next time the station goes <br /> 8 down, a new pump would have to be put in to maintain the necessary <br /> 9 output. It was his contention that to replace the floor to prevent <br /> 10 vibrations would be very expensive and making any repairs on a <br /> 11 facility as old as this one "would only be a gamble. " The Director <br /> 12 concluded by telling the Council the City already has the property <br /> 13 for relocation and it would be at least a year before a new faci- <br /> 14 lity could be put in place because the transition would have to be <br /> 15 coordinated to provide an even flow during construction. <br /> 16 D. Station .Replacement Cost to be Considered for 1988 Budget <br /> 17 The Mayor Pro Tem indicated he perceived it would be up to the City <br /> 18 Manager and Public Works Director to figure out how the replace- <br /> 19 ment could be paid for and return with their recommendations when <br /> 20 the 1988 budget is considered during the August 26th work session. • <br /> 21 Councilmember Enrooth commented that he perceived Exhibit B of the <br /> 22 report gave an excellent overview of the City' s sanitary sewer <br /> 23 system and would probably be valuable reference to be utilized <br /> 24 whenever the City considers making changes in the system to avoid <br /> 25 the same kind of problems experienced with the July 23rd storm. <br /> 26 COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> 27 Makowske Returns From Brainerd Training Session with Valuable Governing <br /> 28 Aids <br /> 29 Councilmember Makowske said the materials she had received during the <br /> 30 excellent government training sessions she had attended July 29th and <br /> 31 30th were already being distributed among the Councilmembers. She <br /> 32 indicated there were several forms she was modifying for use in St. <br /> 33 Anthony. <br /> 34 Councilmembers Invited 'to Attend August 19th RCLLG Meeting on Bingo and <br /> 35 Pull Tabs <br /> 36 The Councilmember indicated she would be attending the above and <br /> 37 perceived the meeting theme might be of interest to the rest of the <br /> 38 Council. Councilmember Makowske held up the report on the Minnesota <br /> 39 League of Cities conference in Rochester , which included her picture. <br />
