Mayor Sundl'and said he perceived .the <br /> 7 Council should rely on. Mr.. Nelson' s professional opinion on. that <br /> 8 question. <br /> 9 The Mayor said he wasn' t .sure.' it was the pull tabs which made- the <br /> 10 'Legion Club -in New Brighton so successful as some members have <br /> 11 claimed or, whether it was - the excellent food and the bar opera- <br /> 12 tion itself which pulled in the players. He pointed out that the <br /> 13 Legion was conducting the -games itself and. on its own <br /> 14 premises which would not be the case with the organizations who <br /> 15 were requesting to operate in City facilities. <br /> 16 Councilmember Marks indicated he had talked to a liquor profes- <br /> 17 sional after the Lions Club members had.- contacted him.
