However, Larry Jones, Bulletin Staff <br /> 5 Writer, said he would devote a few lines of copy to the announcement. <br /> 6 Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Marks to adopt the resolution which would <br /> 7 establish March 15th as the cut-off date for requests for public <br /> 8 improvements to be accepted. <br /> 9 RESOLUTION 89-004 <br /> 10 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MARCH 15, 1989 <br /> 11 AS CUT-OFF DATE FOR RECEIVING PETITIONS <br /> 12 FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br /> 13 Motion carried unanimougl <br /> 14 $12,794.00 Approved for New Chevrolet Police Vehicle Purchase <br /> 15 In his December 29th memorandum to the Mayor and Councilmembers, Police <br /> 16 Chief Hickerson had given all the reasons, he was recommending the City <br /> 17 purchase the 1989 Chevrolet Caprice under the low bid taken by Ramsey <br /> 18 County from Thane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet. These included that (a) the <br /> 19 Chevrolet would cost less than the Ford, which also met the Police <br /> 20 Department specifications; (b) tests had proved the Caprice out <br /> 21 performed and out handled the Ford and got better gas mileage; .(c) City <br /> 22 patrolmen are familiar with the Chevrolet controls and the City <br /> 23 inventory wouldn't have to be expanded to include Ford parts; and (d) <br /> 24 a majority of the St. Anthony officers who will be driving the vehicle <br /> 25 prefer the Chevrolet over the Ford. <br /> 26 Council Action <br /> 27 Motion by Makowske, seconded by Marks to accept. the low bid of <br /> 28 $12,794.00 for the purchase of a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice for the Police <br /> 29 Department as recommended by the Police Chief. <br /> 30 motion carried unanimously. <br /> 31 Low Quote of $1,500 From Kruge-Air, Inc. Accepted for Water Pressure <br /> 32 Washer for Public Works Equipment <br /> 33 Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Sundland to accept the low bid of <br /> 34 $1,500.00 from the above company as recommended by Public Works Director <br /> 35 Hamer in his January 2nd memorandum to the Mayor and Councilmembers. <br /> 36 Notion carried unanimously. <br /> 10 <br />
