ANTHONY SHOPPING CENTYER) REQUEST <br /> Approximately two years ago Mid-America Dairymen, Inc. was allowed a <br /> combination of -uses in the St. Anthony Shopping Center (a C-Commercial <br /> zone) . By staff interpretation, the company has been allowed to include <br /> some warehouse/storage in the back part of its space as long as the <br /> operation includes a product retail store in the front. <br /> At this time, the retail portion of Mid-America is no longer in <br /> operation. Therefore, it is not in conformance with the condition <br /> allowing the combination of uses to exist. <br /> Mid-America Dairymen, Inc. is requesting that the City grant a temporary <br /> delay of enforcement of the condition as indicated by staff, for a <br /> specified amount of time (6 - 12 months) to take action in one of the <br /> following ways: <br /> A. Mid-America would find a commercial/retail use. for the front of <br /> the operation which would put them in conformance with the zoning <br /> condition. However, this option could possibly cause the back <br /> of the store to remain empty and unusable once Mid-America moves <br /> out. <br /> B. Mid-America would like to locate a tenant to sublease the entire <br /> space available, allowing the property to be used to its fullest <br /> extent. <br /> :cjk5.16. 89 <br />
