5. Description: (Describe the project in as much detail as possible. <br /> Provide a statement of anticipated results; what, if any alternative <br /> funding- sources have been considered for the project; and for a multi- <br /> year project, describe the program accomplishments to date.) <br /> Part of project will complete construction of a new sidewalk along north <br /> side of Kenzie Terrace. Approximately 482 feet remains between 2501 <br /> Kenzie Terrace and Stinson Boulevard for the north side to be finished. <br /> The sidewalk will be concrete and 5 to 6 feet wide. <br /> The existing sidewalk on the south side of Kenzie Terrace will be altered <br /> at driveways and street intersections so as to remove existing architectural <br /> barriers for handicap accessibility. <br /> Sidewalks will provide safe access to seniors and handicap individuals to <br /> commercial businesses and services and bus services. The project was <br /> started with Year XIV funds. This census tract (201.02, Blk Grp 3) has a <br /> 51 percent low-moderate income population as well as a high concentration <br /> of senior citizens. <br /> 6.
