i <br /> 1 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 2 JANUARY 14 , 1992 • <br /> 3 PAGE 6 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Councilmember Enrooth attended a Village Fest meeting on <br /> 10 January 13th. He noted that seven people were in attendance <br /> 11 who indicated their willingness to participate in the <br /> 12 organization of this year' s Village Fest , but there are no <br /> 13 firm plans in place. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 He also met today with a local attorney, Ed Hance, to discuss <br /> 16 the Village Fest . <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Mayor Ranallo stated that Village Fest , Inc. should probably <br /> 19 meet to complete its corporation paperwork. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 The Mayor has received notice from the St . Anthony Chamber of <br /> 22 Commerce indicating that the organization chooses not be <br /> 23 involved in the "St . Anthony Dollars" promotion. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Councilmember Enrooth serves on the Board of Directors of the <br /> 26 Association of Metropolitan Municipalities . That organization <br /> 27 is taking a serious look at a new piece of legislation which • <br /> 28 would limit expansion of sewer systems. He feels this <br /> 29 legislation would not affect St . Anthony. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Councilmember Marks felt the success of the Goal Setting <br /> 34 session was enhanced by the leader' remaining overnight in the <br /> 35 facility. He observed that one goal of the session was to <br /> 36 produce a City/School Board calendar and this goal has been <br /> 37 attained. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Report of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 40 <br /> 41 The Mayor noted that the "Shop St . Anthony" campaign is <br /> 42 progressing very well . The St . Anthony Dollars" should be <br /> 43 available by February 29th. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The City' s "Spring Fling" arrangements are nearly all <br /> 46 complete. The music for the event will be supplied by the <br /> 47 school band and the City' s orchestra. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br /> 51 <br /> 52 <br /> 53 <br /> 54 <br /> 55 <br /> 56 <br /> 57 <br />
