1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 2 <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 5 APRIL 14 , 1992 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Presentation <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Salo, Finland is the St . Anthony Sister City. Last year a <br /> 10 delegation of residents from St . Anthony, which included members of <br /> 11 the St . Anthony Orchestra, visited Salo. At that time it was <br /> 12 indicated there was much interest among Salo residents to visit St . <br /> 13 Anthony this summer . <br /> 14 <br /> 15 In attendance at this Council Meeting was Sauli Niinisto, who is <br /> 16 presently serving as the Chairman of the Salo City Council . He was <br /> 17 welcomed by the City Council . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Councilmember Marks , who visited Salo last year, stated that <br /> 20 Chairman Niinisto is the former police chief of Salo, previously <br /> 21 served as a judge, is a member of the Finland Parliament and a <br /> 22 member of the National Security and Defense Committee for Finland. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Chairman Niinisto presented a plaque to the Mayor which bore <br /> 25 symbols representing some of the City and Country ' s history. He was <br /> 26 presented with a pin, cap and sweatshirt all bearing the St . <br /> 27 Anthony logo. <br /> 4 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 1 . CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Mayor Ranallo called the meeting to order at 7 : 30 p.m. and led <br /> 34 the Pledge of Allegiance . <br /> 35 <br /> 36 2 . ROLL CALL <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Council Present : Mayor Ranallo, Councilmembers Marks , Enrooth, <br /> 39 Fleming and Wagner . <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Staff Present : City Manager Burt , City Attorney Soth, and <br /> 42 Management Assistant. Urbia. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 3 . APPROVAL .OF APRIL 14-, '1992 COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Councilmember Wagner advised that a correction is necessary on <br /> 47 the amount for .approval to be paid to Dorsey & Whitney law <br /> 48 firm. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion by .Marks, second by Wagner to approve the agenda for <br /> 51 the April 14, - 1992 Council Meeting with one correction. <br /> 52 <br /> 53 Motion carried unanimously <br />
