City of St. Anthony Proposed Sign Ordinance Revisions <br /> Draft #2 -- May 27, 1992 Page -17- <br /> 1 (2) The sign is relocated to a position making it less in compliance with <br /> 2 this Chapter than it was before the relocation. <br /> 3 (3) The sign is replaced. <br /> 4 -(4) Any new primary sign is erected or placed in connection with the <br /> 5 enterprise using the legal non-conforming sign. <br /> .6 1400.16 ENFORCEMENT: If a sign is in violation of this Chapter, or is in danger of <br /> 7 falling, or is otherwise a menace to the safety of persons or property, the City Manager may <br /> 8 give to the owner of the property on which the sign is located, written notice specifying the <br /> 9 violation, ordering the cessation of the violation and requiring either the removal of the sign <br /> 10 or remedial work in the time and manner specified in the notice. In the event of failure to <br /> 11 comply with the notice within 30 days, the City Manager may remove the sign or cause such <br /> 12 remedial work to be done.-The cost of the work performed by the City must be paid to the <br /> 13 City by the owner of the property by certifying the costs to the County Treasurer for <br /> 14 collection in the same manner as real estate taxes. If a sign which has been removed is-not <br /> 15 reclaimed and costs paid within 30 days after its removal, the sign may be sold or otherwise <br /> 16 disposed of by the City. If a sign is found to be an immediate danger to the public because <br /> 17 of its unsafe condition, it may be removed without notice, and written notice of removal and <br /> 18 reasons for the removal will be given to the owner of the property on which the sign located <br /> 19 as soon as possible. <br />
