Burt, City Manager <br /> FROM: David Mark Urbia, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: CITY COUNCIL REQUEST FOR FURTHER INPUT ON PROPOSED <br /> PARKING ORDINANCE <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The City Council formed an Ad hoc Committee on the proposed parking ordinance in order <br /> to develop more consensus in the community as to the appropriate means to address this <br /> issue. There are six members on the committee, three from each point of view. A <br /> representative from the Office of Dispute Resolution was brought in to facilitate the <br /> consensus building process. The results of this process are included with this staff report in <br /> the form of a memorandum from the City Manager to the City Council. <br /> The City Council, after reviewing the report on the status of the Ad hoc Committee, <br /> referred this matter to the Planning Commission for further review and input. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Upon further discussion, provide further input as to a possible means the City Council could <br /> address the issue at hand. <br />
