REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING •
JUNE 8 , 1993
PAGE 8

Commissioner Franzese noted there were some concerns regarding
what this rezoning would allow on 'the property . Residents were
-- assured that a fast food operation was not an allowable use in
this commercial zoning. Owners of the two properties , Mr . Lee
' and Twin City Federal -- have stated their support for the
rezoning.

In response to an inquiry from the City ' s Management
Assistant , Ramsey County wrote a letter which addressed access
from these parcels to Silver Lake Road . The letter noted that
any access points allowed along the east side of Silver Lake
Road south of 39th Avenue would be right in , right out only
driveways . The median would not be allowed to be opened for
left turns . The construction of a right in , right out access
at either thirty feet or 170 feet from the Twin City Federal
curb should not cause any potential traffic problems .

Motion by Wagner , second by Marks to approve the rezoning to
C (General Commercial District ) according to the Planning
Commission ' s findings which are as follows :
•
Lot 7 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres Second Addition which
is presently zoned R-4 (Multiple Family Residence
District ) ; Lot 8 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres Second
Addition is presently zoned R-2 (Two Family Residence
District ) ; and, Lot 9 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres
Second District which is presently zoned R-2 (Two Family
Residence Distric,t ) .

Motion carried unanimously

B.
