Would it be more convenient for you to -j ► <br /> register for a recreation class,pay your utility bill or apply for _ <br /> a building permit in the evening? Now you have that oppor- <br /> tunity. Since October, the Municipal Center has extended <br /> hours on Tuesday nights. Now we are open unfit 7:00 p.m. - - -� - <br /> Only a handful of metropolitan area cities offer any type of p <br /> extended hours. In Fridley, we will continue this service ? <br /> through March at which time we will evaluate its effective- t <br /> ness. So far, extended hours have met with a luke warm - <br /> response. F• — r1 <br /> Remember,Tuesdays equal two extra hours of service! <br /> Fridley Pride City-Wide Committee Members were ap- <br /> pointed by the City Council. Both of these goals were met during the week of Refuse 265 tons <br /> September 9 to 16, 1995. <br /> Tires 2,098 tires <br /> Activities included curbside collection of tree branches, <br /> shrubs,refuse,usable furniture,and appliances. Over 1,200 Florescent lamps 1,909 units <br /> residents dropped off tires, florescent lamps, car batteries, Used oil 2,000 gallons <br /> demolition debris, scrap wood, waste oil, and oil filters at Used oil filters 1,036 units <br /> Columbia Arena. Neighbors helped neighbors clean up Car batteries 457 units <br /> garages and back yards,often removing 20-30 years worth Demolition debris 93 tons <br /> of accumulation. Volunteers helped residents bring their <br /> material to the curbside,and in many cases,volunteers helped Concrete and asphalt 40 tons <br /> bring material to the drop-off site. Scrap metal 37 tons <br />
