• <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The Council and City Manager Strategic Planning .Session was held on January 181 <br /> 2001. The main goals of this session were: <br /> ➢ Review participants of their leadership role as a member of the St. Anthony <br /> Council. The 10 Habits of Effective Councils Self-Assessment Exercise was <br /> reviewed. <br /> ➢ To review the City's Core Culture, Value Proposition, Mission Statement, Vision <br /> Statement, and Key Strategic Goals in relation to the Comprehensive Plan and the <br /> 5 Year Capital Equipment Plan. <br /> ➢ To help assist the Council in determining the key areas to focus on as well as <br /> consensus on the key Goals when developing the 2001 Strategic Goals. <br /> The following day, a second Strategic Planning Session was held with .the Council , <br /> Members, City Manager, Commission. Chairs, and Executive Staff on January. 19; <br /> 2001. The main goals of this second session were to: <br /> ➢ have a quick overview of team style (MBTI) and team functioning. <br /> ➢ review Staff/Department Accomplishments for the year 2000. <br /> ➢ review the revised Strategic Profile. <br /> ➢ review the Council's Work from Session 1 (Key Issues/Goals for 2001) <br /> ➢ develop consensus on these goals for 2001 — 2005. Make revisions/additions if <br /> necessary. <br /> ➢ rank the goals in order of importance. <br /> ➢ develop draft Objectives for each Goal. <br /> • <br /> 1 <br />
