MEMORANDUM <br /> To: City of Saint Anthony Village <br /> From: Ray Whitehall(homeowner)and N ichael O'Connell(TimberCraft Homes) <br /> Re: 3601 Roosevelt Street Variance Request. <br /> An Application for Variance is being made to permit construction of a one story single family residence <br /> upon the subject lot.The lot became a substandard lot within Saint Anthony Village upon the adoption by <br /> the City of Ordinance 1615.05. <br /> The area and width of the subject property falls below the minimum standards as established by this <br /> ordinance. In addition, construction of the proposed residence would extend into the required 30-foot <br /> sideyard setback established by this Ordinance by 18 feet. An existing frame single family residence is <br /> currently located on the property.This residence currently extends into a required sideyard setback by 11 <br /> feet.The City of Saint Anthony has identified the existing frame structure as substandard. It is not <br /> economically feasible to remodel the existing structure. In addition a similar variance would be required for <br /> improvements to the existing structure if it were at all feasible to remodel it. <br /> The applicants respectfully request that a variance to the City Zoning Ordinance be granted because of the <br /> unique hardship the code creates. <br />
