The CUP contained conditions limiting the hours <br /> during which the processing of wax and other components into candle products may <br /> occur and required that reasonable effects be made to eliminate or remediate odors that <br /> are injurous to the public health and welfare emanating from the business. The CUP <br /> provides that it expires on September 1, 2002 and that the owner shall be required to <br /> apply for and receive a new CUP in order for the processing of wax and other <br /> components into candle products to continue after that date and that additional conditions <br /> may be placed by the City on the use of the property as a condition of the issuance of a <br /> new CUP. <br /> Nearby residents who are concerned about odors emanating from the business <br /> have requested that the City take action at this time to revoke the CUP. There is no <br /> evidence that there has been a breach of the terms of the CUP.
