She added that perhaps what they needed to change <br /> 6 was the floor area ratio. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Stille stated that he felt that the Planning Commission should further examine the <br /> 9 issue and bring it back to the Council at a later date. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Morrison informed the Council that the homeowner still does not have the ability <br /> 12 to finish the living space above the garage, even if they move forward to the <br /> 13 second reading. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Councilmember Faust stated that there were three readings for the purpose of <br /> 16 public input. He added that moving the resolution along allows the Planning <br /> 17 Commission to come back to the Council with a proposed amendment. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Councilmember Sparks clarified that the thousand square feet was not the issue, <br /> 20 but that the floor area ratio was what needed to be changed. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Mayor Hodson stated that the Planning Commission should come back to the <br /> 23 Council with a recommendation and some information after they have gone <br /> 24 through this first reading. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Motion by Councilmember Sparks, second by Councilmember Faust, to consider <br /> 27 an amendment to City Ordinance 2002-002. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Motion carried 4-1, Horst opposed. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 3. Consider amendment to City Ordinance regulating the placement of ground signs. <br /> 32 1 st reading. <br /> 33 Stille stated that the Planning Commission was recommending that the placement <br /> 34 of ground signs be 15 feet from the curb. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Morrison indicated that the Animal Hospital sign on 37th Avenue was an example <br /> 37 of a sign that was 15 feet from the curb, which is the way that they have been <br /> 38 interpreting the ordinance. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Motion by Councilmember Faust, second by Councilmember Sparks, to amend <br /> 41 City Ordinance 2002-003. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 4. Consider amendment to City Ordinance to delete Section relating to wax in the <br /> 46 production of candles and the production of home fragrance products as a <br /> 47 manufacturing permitted use in the Light Industrial district. 1St reading. <br /> 48 <br />
