ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES® 3301 SILVER LAKE ROAD® MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55418® PHONE 789-8881 .
CITY OF
sT. a nTHong
February 18 , 1982
Mr. Ray Odde
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission
7th and Robert Streets
St. Paul , MN 55101
Dear Ray ,
It was a pleasure to meet with you and your staff last
week . We feel that some very good progress was made to clear up
some concerns which we had and we are impressed by your willing-
ness to investigate those concerns for which a clear answer was
not readily available.
As a summation of our discussions , we understand that you
will be checking the flows at Meter 55 to determine the- basis
for the approximately ten percent difference in flows ' recorded by
our respective metering methods .
Regarding Meter 55A, we will be working in cooperation with
you to undertake a program of regular maintenance on the manholes
and your staff will study the flows of Station 55A versus
Station 104 to determine what the flows actually should be and
whether or not varying flows were based on meter malfunctions ,
plugged lines or actual flow variations .
Flows to Minneapolis previously charged to the City of
St. Anthony (approximately 23 million gallons) will be credited
to our 1982 account and we concur that the annual per unit flow
from the .remaining 69 units should be charged on a basis of
100 ,000 gallons per unit.
We have also checked on reporting methods and find that the
1981 report is considerably more accurate in reporting commercial ,
and single versus multi-family residential than reports from
previous years . Please rely on the newer figures , and we expect
to show consistency in this area in future years .
r, - _•mil'.{:Cy4 .. _ .-..
