i <br /> AGENDA ITEM: Reports-3a <br /> STATUS : Informational <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE : - June 15 , 1982 <br /> TO: Department Heads <br /> Dave Childs , City Manager <br /> Ron Berg , Administrative Assistant <br /> FROM: Lila Johnson, License/Billing Clerk <br /> SUBJECT: June 15 , 1982 Staff Meeting Notes <br /> ----------------------7-----------=----------------------------------- <br /> The meeting opened at 9 : 38 . A.M. Those present: Don Hickerson , Ray <br /> Nelson, Larry Hamer, Dave Childs , Ron Berg , and' Lila Johnson . Carol <br /> Johnson and Lee Entner were absent. <br /> Brief discussions ensued regarding the following items which will be <br /> on the Council ' s June 22nd agenda <br /> (1) A com endation for the Village Gardenettes . Larry Hamer will <br /> contaTt the group to designate a representative to attend the <br /> June 22nd meeting. <br /> • (2) Resolution regarding the St. Anthony Boulevard Bridge . <br /> (3) Anthony Lane Assessment hearing. . <br /> ( 4). Thompson variance request. <br /> There followed a lengthy discussion concerning the rat problems in <br /> the City. Mr. Childs has contacted both Hennepin and Ramsey Counties <br /> regarding - this problem. Hennepin County has sent brochures to dis- <br /> tribute around the problem areas . Ramsey County will be contacting <br /> both the Soo Line . Railroad and Red Owl and the Department of Agricul- <br /> ture will also contact Red Owl. The major area of concern appears to <br /> be along Coolidge and Harding. Residents in that area will receive <br /> . .instructions in ridding their neighborhood of these extremely dangerous <br /> rodents . It was also decided that those residents Mr. Hamer could <br /> not contact during the day, Mr. Childs will attempt to contact during <br /> the everiing hours . <br /> The City employee picnic scheduled for June 27th was discussed. Due <br /> to lack of reservations (only 58 persons as of June 15) , the picnic <br /> may be cancelled or postponed: Mr. Childs will discuss the matter <br /> with the Mayor. <br /> The Berger Transfer parking problem was briefly discussed. Mr. Childs <br /> and Mr. Hamer will contact Berger to seek a solution to this matter . <br /> • The meeting was adjourned at 10 : 17 A.M. <br /> cjk <br />
