CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> June 8 , 1982 <br /> The Board of Review was reconvened by Mayor Sundland at 7 :00 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks , Ranallo, Sundland, Letourneau and <br /> Enrooth. <br /> Also present: David Childs , City Manager, and Richard Becken , Hennepin <br /> County Assessors Office. <br /> The Mayor outlined the procedure which could be pursued if the residents <br /> were not satisfied with the recommendations made following onsite <br /> reappraisals of their properties . <br /> Mr. Becken reported the rental property owned by Harold Carlson , 3015 <br /> Rankin Road, was given an onsite inspection and the Hennepin County <br /> assessors recommended reducing the market valuation from $92 ,000 <br /> to $85 ,000 , as requested by the owner. Mr. Carlson indicated he was <br /> satisfied with the reduction, especially since the original valuation <br /> had been $101 ,000 , and told Councilman Ranallo he would be happy to <br /> sell his property for $85 , 000 . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to follow <br /> the recommendation of the Hennepin County Assessors Office that the <br /> market valuation for the property at 2926 Old Highway 8 be reduced <br /> from $92 , 000 to $85 ,000 . <br /> • Motion carried unanimously . <br /> An onsite appraisal of the property at 3101 Armour Terrace , requested <br /> by its owner, Robert Dougherty , had resulted in a change in classifica- <br /> tion and a reduction of the market value for his property , according <br /> to Mr. Becken. Mr. Dougherty indicated the reduction would be <br /> acceptable to him. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> follow the recommendation of the Hennepin County Assessors Office to <br /> reduce the market valuation for the property at 3101 Armour Terrace <br /> from $97 , 300 to $94 , 000 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Albert Haik had contacted the assessors to protest the valuation of <br /> his property on Hilldai.e Avenue . Mr. Becken indicated that during an <br /> onsite inspection, the assessors had concluded that Mr. Haik ' s valua- <br /> tion had been based on erroneous data related to an attached garage <br /> and had recommended the market valuation be reduced by $3 ,000 . <br /> Mr. Haik did not object to this correction . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> • follow the recommendations of the Hennepin County Assessors Office <br /> that the market valuation for the property at 2916 Hilldale Avenue <br /> N.E. , be reduced from $92 ,600 to $89 , 600 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
