The Mayor reported on his recent television appearance in which he had attempted to reinstate the City ' s credibility which he perceived was damaged by irresponsible and inaccurate--media reports dealing with the traces of contaminants which had been found -in the City 's water supply. Although his own report was shortened and patched together, Mayor Sundland indicated he was happy to see the MPCA representative appearing with him had been given the opportunity of setting the record straight and allaying some of the residents ' fears which had been raised by the distorted reporting. The Manager indicated he is preparing a special Newsletter article to further clarify the problem for the residents . Council members indicated they would like to participate with the Planning Commission in the two hour presentation by the Metropolitan Council on how the City could develop their Six Year Capital Improvement
