ANTHONY, AND THE INTERNATIONAL UNION <br /> OF OPERATING ENGINEERS , LOCAL 49 <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> i <br /> In his March 8th memorandum g the Manager had given a <br /> water contamination <br /> update with staff recommendation, and had included in the agenda- <br /> packet copies of his December 21st letter to the Minnesota Department <br /> of Health asking whether the City wells could be considered a reliable <br /> source of municipal water supply and the Commissioner of Health' s <br /> February 29th reply recommending that the City take Well #3 out of <br /> service because certain contaminant levels have exceeded health depart- <br /> ment criteria - to .prevent 'further contamination of Wells #4 and 5 , • <br /> which at this time are considered to be acceptable sources of water <br /> supply . Mr: Childs indicated the CH2M Hill study had called for water <br /> conservation measures and connecting the southern.third of the City to <br /> the Roseville water supply, as temporary measures until a permanent <br /> solution can be found. <br />
