-20- <br /> provide thorough engineering and job accounting on this project if they <br /> got it. <br /> That statement and the fact that the City could save up to $3 , 500 by <br /> letting Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. do the lift station job, <br /> resulted in the following: <br /> Council Action <br /> Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to authorize Short-Elliott- <br /> Hendrickson, Inc. to do the preliminary engineering study of the Foss <br /> Road Lift Station project they had proposed for a figure not to exceed <br /> $2 , 500 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Council Approves Preliminary Sketches for Remodeling City Hall Front <br /> Office <br /> Mr. Childs presented the above for the minor remodeling/refurbishing <br /> project the Council had discussed at their last meeting. He said the <br /> original estimate of $11 , 000 , including $6 ,000 for a moveable air <br /> conditioner, had not changed. <br /> Mr. Hamer suggested the latter cost might be even less than estimate <br /> when quotes are taken. He also confirmed that the remainde <br /> represented only the cost of materials since his department would be <br /> doing all the work. <br /> The Public Works Director told Councilmember Makowske the idea behind <br /> the glass separations on the counter , in front of the office had been <br /> not to have the entire office disturbed every time someone came, but to <br /> still retain the sense of openness to the community she had wanted. <br /> Council Action <br /> Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to authorize the staff to go ahead <br /> with the remodeling project they had proposed for City Hall. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to adjourn the meeting at 9 : 37 <br /> P.M. , for the Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting which <br /> followed. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • <br />
