• STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> NOVEMER 1, 1988 <br /> The meeting began at 10:00 A.M. Those present were Connie <br /> Kroeplin, Sue VanderHeyden, Ray Nelson, Don Hickerson, Lee <br /> Entner, Larry Hamer, and Dave Childs. <br /> Sue VanderHey en <br /> 1. ' Ms. VanderHeyden has checked on the progress of the Village <br /> entrance sign. The sign company indicated the letters may be <br /> put on -the -sign onNovember18th. <br /> 2. There have been three appeals received from the Comparable <br /> Worth study - one each from police, fire, and public works. <br /> 3. The Affirmative Action Plan, which is due December 1st, is <br /> being worked on. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1. The Council has taken the initial steps to authorize pull <br /> tabs at Apache Wells and the Stonehouse. <br /> • 2. When Mr. Childs asked about the liquor operation's <br /> uncollectible checks from the check cashing operation, Mr. Nelson <br /> indicated the City may still collect money from some of them <br /> (Advance United payroll checks) . The report will be presented at <br /> the November 22, 1988 Council meeting. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> I. Repairs and construction of the HVAC system at the fire <br /> station are on schedule, and the committee is working on the <br /> specs for the interior remodeling, the windows and exterior i <br /> finishes. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1. There were only two incident calls on Halloween night; one <br /> was about a resident who was scaring the children and the other <br /> concerned small youngsters throwing berries at cars. The Police <br /> Chief noted that the Police Reserves were on duty that night. <br /> 2. One of the police candidates has been scheduled for his <br /> psychological test and the other will be scheduled soon <br /> thereafter. <br /> • 3. The Police Chief's convention in Portland, Oregon, focused <br /> mainly on the country's drug problems. He learned that in New <br />
