01 Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Makowske to authorize the erection of <br /> 2 the proposed awning on the front of the Stonehouse liquor operation <br /> 3 facing Highway 88. <br /> 4 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 5 Motion by Makowske, seconded by Enrooth to authorize the change in copy <br /> 6 proposed for the existing City's pylon sign on the Highway 88 side of <br /> 7 the Stonehouse. <br /> 8 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 9 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to refer the plans for potential <br /> 10 signage on the relocated canopy to the 'Planning Commission for their <br /> it review for recommendation. <br /> 12 'Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 13 Mr. Nelson was then requested to investigate signage improvement for <br /> 14 the apache SAV II liquor operation. <br /> 15 Councilmember Enrooth commented . that he was somewhat disturbed to see <br /> 16 the number of times when there were only five Commissioners present to <br /> 17 vote on issues on which he would have preferred to have gotten the <br /> 18 perspective of all seven Commissioners. <br /> �9 Police Department Employment Contract Approved by Council <br /> 20 Motion by Marks, seconded by Makowske to adopt Resolution 89-009 which <br /> 21 approves the 1989 union contract with the City Police Department with <br /> 22 necessary modifications of language to bring the agreement up to date. <br /> 23 RESOLUTION 89-009 <br /> 24 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE 1989 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> 25 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY AND AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, <br /> 26 COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) COUNCIL 14, LOCAL 57 <br /> 27 REPRESENTING THE ST. ANTHONY POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES <br /> 28 motion carried unanimously. <br /> 29 St Anthony Given Hennepin County Award for Recycling Efforts <br /> 30 Ms. VanderHeyden indicated the, plaque had been given to the City during <br /> 31 the annual recycling luncheon sponsored by Hennepin County, April 19th. <br /> 32 She said the City had been honored for recycling 13% of its wastes. <br /> 33 The Assistant to the City Manager indicated the Minnesota Pollution <br /> 34 Control Agency and the City had not completed the final draft of the <br /> 35 agreement concerning the permanent carbon filtration facility. <br /> • 15 <br />
