STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> • JULY 6, 1989 <br /> The meeting began at 10:00 A.M. Those present were Don Hickerson, <br /> Sue VanderHeyden, Larry Hamer, Lee Entner, Ray Nelson, and Connie <br /> Kroeplin. <br /> Everyone present bought a VillageFest button. Buttons are on sale <br /> at the front office. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1 . The monthly Police Reserve report for May will be included in <br /> the agenda packet. <br /> 2. A Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting had been held for Silver <br /> Lane residents. However, a minimum number of persons (60%) <br /> did not attend, so a Crime Watch sign cannot be put up. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1. The new SAV sign has been completed. <br /> • 2. Diane LeClaire had broken her arm about a month ago and has <br /> been unable to work since that time. <br /> 3 . The VillageFest beer garden was discussed at length, i.e. , <br /> size of the tent, the inside set up, tables, security, amount <br /> to charge for beer,* etc. <br /> 4. Work on Apache Wells is progressing well. Mr. Nelson thinks <br /> it would be best to close the saloon for a 2 or 3 week period <br /> for carpeting and plumbing and then re-open it with a "bang. " <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. The DCE's are slowly rising at the temporary carbon filtration <br /> plant. Mr. Hamer has obtained a carbon transportation number <br /> from the EPA. <br /> 2. Several elm trees on boulevards throughout the Village were <br /> found to be diseased and must be removed. <br /> 3. This year, street repair will involve more concrete <br /> sealcoating than asphalt. <br /> 4. Mr. Hamer commended the Gardeners for their flower planting <br /> efforts. <br /> • <br />
