Design and Location. ;c = <br /> 1 . Signs shall maximize the use of natural materials in <br /> construction and should conform to the material design <br /> - - of the principal structure. <br /> 2. Signs shall be located at least 5 feet froa any street <br /> or other easement. <br /> 3. To qualify for a permit , the pedestal width of a ground <br /> " sign must be at least equal to the sign width. <br /> 4. The principal structure of a parcel of land shall be <br /> allowed one ground sign, regardless of the number of <br /> tenants in the structure. <br /> Subd. 7. WALL SIGNS: <br /> a. The sign surface area of a wall sign shall not exceed 15% <br /> of the area of the wall to which it is applied. <br /> Subd. 6. DISTRICT SCHEDULES : signs shall be permitted as set forth in the <br /> following Subdivions a to c inclusive , which are hereby r-ade and <br /> declared part of this ordinance. <br /> a. The following signs are permitted in a residential district : <br /> 1 . One identification sign per dwelling unit , which <br /> sign shall not exceed a sion surface area of 2 square feet <br /> per surface and shall have no more than 2 sign surfaces <br /> (for a total of 4 square feet) . and one address sign on <br /> the curb in front of each dwelling unit or on a freestanding <br /> mailbox. <br /> --70Each multiple dwelling complex shall be allowed one free- <br /> standing sign identifying the complex.
