Subd. 28. Interpretation. Whenever the words "dwelling", "dwelling unit", <br /> "premises", or "structure" are used .in this Section 355:00, they will be deemed <br /> to be followed by the words "or any part thereof". <br /> Section 355:15 Responsibilities of Owners and Occupants. No owner or other <br /> person may.occupy or let to another person any dwelling, unless it and the premises <br /> are dean, sanitary, fit for human occupancy, and comply with all applicable <br /> requirements of the City Code and state and federal laws and regulations. <br /> Section 355:20 Shared Areas. Every owner of a dwelling containing two or more <br /> dwelling units must maintain the shared or public areas of the dwelling and <br /> premises in a dean and sanitary condition. <br /> Section 355:25 Occupied Areas. Every occupant must maintain those portions of the <br /> dwelling and premises he or she occupies in a clean and sanitary condition. <br /> Section 355:30 Refuse and Recyclables. Every occupant must store and dispose of or <br /> recycle all refuse and recyclables in a dean, sanitary and safe manner as prescribed by <br /> City ordinances. Every owner of an apartment building must supply facilities for <br /> the sanitary and safe storage and/or disposal or recycling or refuse and recyclables. <br /> The storage of refuse and recyclable collection items may not be kept in the front <br /> yard setback. <br /> • Section 355:35 Storage of Wood. Wood used for fireplaces must be stacked in a <br /> location other than the front yard setback. <br /> Section 355:40 Storm and Screen Doors and Windows. The owner of a rental unit is <br /> responsible for providing and hanging all screens and storm doors and storm <br /> windows required under Section 355:00. <br /> Section 355:45 Responsibility for Pest Extermination. Every occupant of a single- <br /> family dwelling is responsible for the extermination of vermin infestations and/or <br /> rodents on the premises. Other dwelling occupants are responsible for such <br /> extermination if their unit is the only one infested. If infestation is caused by the <br /> failure of the owner to maintain a dwelling in a rodent-proof condition, <br /> extermination is the responsibility of the owner. If infestation exists in two or more <br /> units in one dwelling, or in the shared or public parts of a dwelling, extermination <br /> is the responsibility or the owner. <br /> Section 355:50 Rodent Harborages. No occupant may accumulate boxes, lumber, <br /> scrap metal or other materials which may provide a rodent harborage or provide <br /> food for rodents. <br />
