I REGULAR COUNCIL PEETING <br /> 2 JUNE 8 , 1993 <br /> 3 PAGE 8 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Commissioner Franzese noted there were some concerns regarding <br /> 7 what this rezoning would allow on the property . Residents were <br /> 8 assured that a fast food operation was not an allowable use in <br /> 9 this commercial zoning . Owners of the two properties , Mr . Lee <br /> 10 and Twin City- Federal have stated their support for the <br /> 11 rezoning. , <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Ire response to an inquiry from the City ' s Management <br /> 14 Assistant , Ramsey County wrote a letter which addressed access <br /> 15 from these parcels to Silver Lake Road . The letter noted that <br /> 16 any access points allowed along the east side of Silver Lake <br /> 17 Road south of 39th Avenue would be right in , right out only <br /> 18 driveways . The median would not be allowed to be opened for <br /> 19 left turns . The construction of a right in, right out. access <br /> 20 at either thirty feet or 170 feet from the Twin City Federal <br /> 21 curb should not cause any potential traffic problems . <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Motion by Wagner , second by Marks to approve the rezoning to <br /> 25 C (General Commercial District ) according to the Planning <br /> 26 Commission ' s findings which are as follows : <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Lot 7 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres Second Addition which <br /> 29 is presently zoned R-4 (Multiple Family Residence <br /> 30 District ) ; Lot 8 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres Second <br /> 31 Addition is presently zoned R-2 (Two Family Residence <br /> 32 District ) ; and, Lot 9 , Block 7 of Mounds View Acres <br /> 33 Second District which is presently zoned R-2 (Two Family <br /> 34 Residence District ) . <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 37 <br /> 38 B. Council Reports <br /> 39 <br /> 40 1 . Report of Councilmember Waciner <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Councilmember Wagner attended a meeting of the Community <br /> 43 Service Council . He advised that legislative action taken <br /> 44 during the recent Legislative Session will have a severe <br /> 45 negative impact on the funding for the Community Service <br /> 46 Council budget . This organization will lose funding for <br /> 47 perhaps ten years . The Annual Compliance Meeting is scheduled <br /> 48 for June 15th in the Middle School Board Room. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br />
