I CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> January 25, 1994 <br /> 3 Page 5 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Commissioner Rosemary Franzese appeared on behalf of the <br /> 6 Planning Commission to support Mr. Barton' s petition to <br /> 7 relocate an existing garage on his property. The <br /> 8 Commissioner informed the Council that this request was <br /> 9 previously before the Commission and the applicant withdrew <br /> 10 his prior request for a breezeway. At this time he is <br /> 11 requesting to move an existing free standing accessory <br /> 12 structure. In addition to the move the applicant will also <br /> 13 be changing the existing gravel surface to a hard concrete <br /> 14 surface . <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 The Planning Commission put several conditions on Mr. <br /> 18 Barton' s request : (1) be in accordance with Ordinance <br /> 19 1650 . 11 regarding the mover, permits, zoning codes, and <br /> 20 condition of the building; (2) the exterior match and be <br /> 21 upgraded to satisfactorily meet the requirements by the City <br /> 22 Engineer and a professional survey be completed; and (3) <br /> that the edge of the hard surface driveway be a minimum of <br /> 44 five feet from the property line. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Mr. Don Dick, Mr. Barton' s neighbor to the north, was <br /> 27 present and Commissioner Franzese indicated he previously <br /> 28 objected to the request because his garage would be so close <br /> 29 to the edge of the property line. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Councilmember Marks indicated there was a letter from Mr. <br /> 32 Barton nIs neighbor to the south, Ken. Friberg and Lona Miller, <br /> 33 3511 Harding Street, endorsing Mr. Barton' s request . <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Ranallo indicated he received communication today from <br /> 36 Bill Solz, an attorney, addressing the requirement that the <br /> 37 edge of - the hard surface driveway be a minimum of five feet <br /> 38 from the property line . Councilmember Fleming said she <br /> 39 didn' t see any objection to the request in that letter. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Scott Barton, 3515 Harding Street, responded to <br /> 42 Councilmember Marks ' question regarding the setback <br />
