ANTHONY DRAFT <br /> 2 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 AUGUST 19, 199.7 <br /> 4 L CALL TO ORDERIPLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 5 The meeting was called to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice Chair Makowske at <br /> 6 7:04 P.M. <br /> 7 M ROLL CALL. <br /> 8 Commissioners present: Vice Chair Makowske; Commissioners Franzese, Gondorchin, <br /> 9 Horst, and Thompson. <br /> 10 Commissioners absent: Chair Bergstrom and Commissioner Delmonico. <br /> 11 Also present: Kim Moore-Sykes,Management Assistant. <br /> 12 III. APPROVAL OF AUGUST 19j 1997 PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. <br /> 13 Motion by Gondorchin, seconded by Horst, to approve the Planning Commission Agenda for <br /> 14 August 19, 1997 as presented. <br /> 15 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> IV. APPROVAL OF THE JULY 17, 1997 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> M MUTES. - <br /> 18 Motion by Thompson, seconded by Franzese, to approve the July 17, 1997 Planning Commission <br /> 19 Meeting minutes as submitted. <br /> 20 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 21 V. DESIGNATE PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR AUGUST 26, 1997 <br /> 22 COUNCIL_MEETING. <br /> 23 Vice Chair Makowske was appointed as the Planning Commission representative for the Tuesday, <br /> 24 August 26, 1997, City Council meeting. <br /> 25 VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 26 1. 7-08 Rick LoreaL 3821 Foss R oad - Sideyard Setback Variance Reguest, <br /> 27 Ms. Moore-Sykes reported Rick Lorenz, property owner of 3821 Foss Road, submitted an <br /> 28 application for a ten-foot side yard variance request to the City in order to construct an addition <br /> 29 to the tri-plea, converting the building into a four-plex with a double car tuck-under garage. Mr. <br /> 30 Lorenz intends to live in this new addition and is also planning to add a 10 x 20 storage room on <br /> 31 the back of the proposed addition. She advised the Certificate of Survey shows both the living <br /> 32 space addition and the storage room to be eight feet into the required 15-foot side yard setback. <br /> 33 The proposed layout of the addition is configured to take advantage of the existing driveway. Mr. <br /> 0 Lorenz is also proposing to remove an existing storage building to the east of the proposed <br /> addition, thereby reducing the lot coverage and getting rid of an old building to improve the storm <br /> 36 water drainage of the property, This building appears to have been in the side yard as well. <br />
