Water Filtration Plant SEH-RCM No. A-000010491.05 Honorable Mayor and City Council City of St. Anthony 3301 Silver Lake Road St. Anthony, MN 55418 Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council: Bids were received on April 16, 1999 for the above referenced project. The project was divided into two separate contracts(projects). One for outside excavation and installation of drain tile around the. G.A.C. water plant and one for inside painting. Following is a summary of the five (5) bids that were received for the outside drain tile installation: Jay Brothers Contracting $10,546.00 Magney Construction $14,650.00 F.F. Jedlicki, Inc. $16,296.25 Forest Lake Contracting .$19,080.00 Contracting Enterprise, Inc. $19,665.00 The Engineer's estimate as presented in a letter report on December 23, 1998 for the drain tile installation was $6,540.00. During preparation of the bidding documents, we met on the site-with Mr. Jay Hartman and Mr. Robert Paschke and decided to also place drain tile along the south side of the filtration plant . (north of the G.A.C. plant)and along the east side of the covered walkway between the two buildings increasing the amount of tile,granular borrow and restoration required which increased the cost from the December report. Six bids were received for Contract B,the inside painting work.Following is a summary of the ceiling. recoating and floor cleaning and recoating: Protouch Painting $17,500.00 • Magney Construction $27,900.00 V.E.
