PROTOUCH
April 19, 1999
dim .. .. '. I -
PAINTING Mr.Jay Hartman
INCORPORATED City of St.Anthony
3301 Silver Lake Road
St.Anthony MN 55418-1699
139 S.Concord Exchange St.
RE: Maintenance Work @ G.A.C.Water Filtration Plant
Bid Dated 4/16/99
Dear Mr. Hartman,
South St.Paul,MN 55075
After discussion with"the Sherwin-Williams representative and the project engineer,I found that I
misunderstood whatwas meant by non-abrasive blasting of the galvanized roof deck. In error, I
Aff bid the job to be performed by pressure washing;which I assumed would be considered as one
form of non-abrasive blasting. However,I was informed today by the engineer that pressure
washing would not be acceptable and that the deck would need to be soda blasted. This would
result in a large difference in cost. .
651.457.5628 phone
'I would,at this time, ask the City of St. Anthony for consent to withdrawn my bid,due to the fact
that Protouch Painting does not have the proper equipment to complete this project.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused and would fully expect to lose my bid bond.
651.457.5991 fax Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
AT Sincerely,
IWO
Jim Hoffman '
President
JH/O
