31 <br /> • <br /> July 7, 2000 <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br /> City of St. Anthony <br /> City Hall <br /> 3303 Silver Lake Road NE <br /> St. Anthony, MN 55418 <br /> RE: Village Green Schedule <br /> Dear Commissioners: <br /> The purpose of this letter is to update the HRA on the Village Green Project. <br /> As you know the Village Green Project has been delayed from the schedule that was <br /> provided to the HRA in January. This delay was at the request of the City Manager to <br /> provide time to negotiate with the St. Anthony Shopping Center Owners. The purpose of <br /> those negotiation was to ascertain if the Center Owners would be interested in <br /> redevelopment of their center. To date the Center Owners have not committed to <br /> tredevelopment. <br /> The scheduled tasks that have been completed to date are as follows: <br /> 1. The Construction Document Design Team of BRW has been selected <br /> 2. Topographic Survey bid has been obtained <br /> 3. Negotiations with Hennepin County Highway Department have been initiated <br /> • County Agreement to allow part of the Greenway to be located in the County <br /> Road 88 R-O-W <br /> • County indicating that the Pedestrian crossing on Kenzie Terrace was acceptable <br /> • County indicating that funding for turning lanes and trails would not be available <br /> 4. Cost estimates to underground the NSP electrical lines is near completion <br /> 5. The St. Anthony Park and Recreation Board was briefed on the Master Plan <br /> 6. Final design approvals for the Hitching Post <br /> The original schedule provided that the project would start in January 2000 with a <br /> construction start in the spring of 2001 and construction finish in the fall 2001. <br /> A revised schedule would put the construction start date and construction finish dates at <br /> the same time as the original schedule. This is possible because we scheduled the <br /> construction start in the spring of 2001 to obtain better bids.
