MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 26, 2002 <br /> TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Michael Morrison, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASES FOR 2003 <br /> Staff has revised their capital equipment expenditures for 2003 to $633,200 (down $200,000 <br /> from the original request of$833,200). Line items that appeared in the first draft of the Capital <br /> Equipment budget were deferred to future years. <br /> The following expenditures are recommended for 2003: <br /> Police $ 76,300 <br /> Fire $330,000 <br /> Public Works $212,000 <br /> Administration 14,900 <br /> Total $633,200 <br /> Revenue to fund the 2003 Capital Equipment will come from the following funds: <br /> Lauderdale/Falcon Heights contracts $ 30,000 <br /> Water/Sewer equipment transfer $ 56,200 <br /> Trade/Sale of existing equipment $ 10,000 <br /> Interest earnings $ 2,000 <br /> Water filtration fund balance transfer $ 60,000 <br /> 2002 Liquor profits $150,000 <br /> Tires Plus (HRA Transfer) 32$ 5,000 <br /> Total $633,200 <br />
