CITY OF ST. ANTKONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> May 10 , 1983 <br /> Mayor Sundland-opened the- meeting at 8 : 40 P.M. with the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks,, Ranallo, Sundland, Letourneau and <br /> Enrooth. <br /> Also present : David Childs , City Manager; William Soth, City Attorney; <br /> and Carol Johnson, Finance Director. <br /> During the interim between the H.R.A. meeting and the last portion of <br /> the Board of Review- '?_aine Sandell, President of the St. Anthony <br /> Legion Auxilliary, accompanied by Doris St. Cyr, informed the Council <br /> that her organization would be holding its annual observance of Poppy <br /> Days in the City, May 20th. The Auxilliary head reported the types of <br /> programs which these funds had supported the previous year and she <br /> presented the Mayor with a poster announcing the poppy sale, '-with the <br /> presentation photographed by the Bulletin Reporter. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo' and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve as submitted the minutes of the Council meeting held April 26 , <br /> 1983.' <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by .Councilman Enrooth and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> grant 'an amusement device license for one video game to Snyder Bros . and <br /> a vending license to Apache Plaza for the uses documented in their <br /> application included in the May 10 , 1983 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Mayor Sundland to approve <br /> payment of all verified claims listed for April 30 and May 10 in the <br /> May 10 , 1983 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranal'lo to ap- <br /> prove payment of $1 , 840 as unemployment compensation for a laid-off <br /> staff member. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Replies from Congressman Sikorski regarding water contamination and <br /> Representative Rose to the City' s letter opposing H.F . 474 were - <br /> distributed to the Council members . - 'Counci,lman Marks reported he had <br /> made a personal inspection of the painting of the City water -'tower and <br /> agreed close'' sup'ervision of the job by the Public• Works Department was <br /> essential. <br />
