. ain thou
Ula e
1 DATE : APPROVA
February 12, 1988
T O : Planning Commission Members +
FROM :
David M. Childs, City Manager
I'T EM : REQUEST FROM TCF FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/VARIANCE
This is a request from TCF for a conditional use permit to allow- expansion of their
drive-through-facility- at 3899 Silver Lake Road, and a variance to allow the
proposed canopy and equipment island to come within 31 feet of the north property
line (35 feet required) .
In my discussions with TCF representatives, I was informed that the intent of the
request is to alleviate existing traffic congestion and better service the
existing customer base. Anyone driving in. the area at busy times is well aware of
the amount of traffic at this location.
Expansion of or establishment of a drive-in facility requires a conditional use
permit - and in this case a variance is also necessary because of the proposed
setback from the north property line.
As of the date of„this report, we have received no calls either for or against this
request.
A representative from TCF will be present to answer any- questions that you may
have about this request, but, as you can see, their application and- supporting
documentation appear to be fairly complete.
:cjk2.16.88
0
