1 REGULAR. 000NCIL MEETING <br /> SEPTEMBER 10, 1991 <br /> PAGE 7 <br /> 5 Councilmember Enrooth felt it was extremely important to <br /> . 6 spell out the charge of this committee. The Mayor <br /> 7 requested the City Manager to discuss this with the City <br /> 8 Attorney to avoid any conflicts . <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Doug Jones , a resident , suggested that the developers of <br /> 11 the site at 39th and Stinson Boulevard be advised of the <br /> 12 pedestrian crosswalk light proposed for this location and <br /> 13 how it might impact on the plans for sidewalk <br /> 14 construction for this development . <br /> 15 <br /> 16 The City Manager advised he will contact Mr. Shamp after <br /> 17 he has called the City Attorney regarding holding another <br /> 18 public hearing on his request for a variance. Mr. Shamp <br /> 19 advised the Council he has removed the lattice work on <br /> 20 the project once and felt it is a nuisance to leave the <br /> 21 project half done. He inquired if he could put the <br /> 22 lattice work back up. He was advised to leave it down. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 B. Council Reports <br /> 25 <br /> 26 1 . Proclamation - Kiwanis Peanut Day <br /> 27 A revised copy of the Kiwanis Peanut Day proclamation was <br /> distributed to the Council as there was an error in the <br /> date. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve the <br /> 32 proclamation designating Friday, September 27, 1991 as <br /> 33 Kiwanis Peanut Day in the City of St . Anthony. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Mike Miller and Ted Holsten were spokespersons for the <br /> 38 Kiwanis Peanut Day. They distributed peanuts and took <br /> 39 donations for the fundraiser . Photos were taken of the <br /> 40 Councilmembers and Kiwanis representatives . Miller <br /> 41 requested that these photos be run in the St . Anthony <br /> 42 Bulletin and that a notice of the sale of peanuts be <br /> 43 placed on the Kiwanis sign in the entry to the City. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 2 . Citizenship Day/Constitution Week Proclamation <br /> 46 Mayor Ranallo declared September 17, 1991 as Citizenship <br /> 47 Day and the week of September 17 - 23, 1991 as <br /> 48 Constitution Week in the City of St . Anthony. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion by Marks , second by Fleming to approve the <br /> 51 proclamation regarding Citizenship Day and Constitution <br /> 52 Week in the City of St . Anthony. <br /> Motion carried unanimously <br />
